Learning from Children

4T2 partners with local schools and other groups of children to brainstorm creative ideas. This ensures our work always appeals to its target age group.

Creating compelling online content for children is about more than just technical competence. You need a detailed understanding of what children of different ages and abilities find engaging. You need a grasp of the latest trends that are grabbing their attention in the playground, classroom and at home. Finally, you need to be sensitive to the risks the internet poses to children and to the concerns of parents and teachers in keeping them safe online.

For this reason, 4T2 partners with local schools and other groups of children to brainstorm creative ideas and user test our work in production. Some children even get involved in co-production, helping us to design website content or create game ideas.

Engaging children in all aspects of the development process has three benefits. Firstly, it ensures the finished work appeals to the target age group. Secondly, children benefit from a hands-on introduction to multimedia development. Finally, our clients benefit from a deeper understanding of how children view and interact with their product, service or campaign message.

What could children teach you about your online content?
