Dr Stokes (49), a Chartered Engineer, has 25 years experience in industry, including manufacturing companies where he held Technical Director and Managing Director positions and also in IT where Dr Stokes was founder and Managing Director of a human resources company focused on people skills and recruitment. Dr Stokes has a BSc in Mechanical Engineering from Bristol University, an MSc in Machine Tool technology from Birmingham University and a PhD in Mechanical Engineering also from Bristol University.
