LEGO Castle is set in a Medieval World where a good king and an evil wizard battle for supremacy.
The basic principle of the game is that you must use a catapult (or dragon) to defend your castle from various opponents. By correctly identifying what LEGO sets certain pieces come from, children can unlock amusing and powerful secret weapons. This game was our first experiment in allocating a significant part of a campaign's budget to narrative introduction and completion animations. Since players can adopt the roles of either the good king or the evil wizard, they get to see both sides of the story and can choose their allegiance accordingly. With tracking results showing an average playtime of over nine minutes, this was deemed a very successful strategy. We later utilised a similar approach with great effect in both Crystalien Conflict and The Robot Chronicles. It is well worth completing the game play as the evil wizard to see what happens to the Princess!
For a small project, this game has seriously over-delivered in the last two and a bit years. Even today (Dec 09) it is still being played over 10,000 times a week.
Brent HillThis game is awesome. I play as the wizard and have won several times.
