BIONICLE Phantoka

The LEGO Company

Battle for Power

Genre: Mini Games
Released: 2007

4T2 launched 10 flight-based mini games, as BIONICLE took to the skies.

For the first time in BIONICLE history, both good and evil characters were being launched at the same time. Therefore a team-based scoring system was devised as the basis for the campaign. Players could pick a side and play for points. The games themselves focused on new product features. These included new weapons, separate models that were designed to be combined and the fact that the characters fly. If the player exceeded a points target in any game, they received a digital reward and a modified challenge. Photos of the products in development with their respective designers were even hidden amongst the bonuses children could win. Other incentives included enhanced power ups, two player mode and alternative game rule sets.

4T2 was instrumental in planning and executing the LEGO BIONICLE Mahri, Phantoka and Mistika online games. The games were a big success. BIONICLE Stars will be even bigger!
