Due to the enormous response to the Ace Assault campaign, 4T2 were commissioned to create a sequel. Ace Assault achieved its annual play target of 10 million visits thirty weeks ahead of schedule, also smashing its return rate and average playtime goals. The primary target for 4T2 on the Ace Assault II project was to create content that can be enjoyed by all levels of gamers. Encouraging and rewarding players for mastering the special moves each starship is capable of also increased the depth of the game. By displaying the progress and achievements up front, players are introduced to a much wider range of LEGO products.
